I'm not sure what you mean by site definition. I tried the same procedure in another folder and got the same result. I have a remote server set up and a MAMP testing server I'm in the folder loaves_and_fishes, and local view. if I hit GET, a warning popup says "Get operation failed since ecommerce.css does not exist on the remote site.". when I look at the css file I see a warning: Ecommerce.css is not on the local disk. Here's what I get when I open file>new>responsive starters>responsive-eCommerce:ĮCommerce template By Adobe Dreamweaver CC I cleared the cache file, restarted my laptop and restarted DM. Thank you for your help figuring this out. Here's the link that was create even though I didn't set the site definition stuff:Īpplication Support/Adobe/Dreamweaver CC 2017/en_US/Configuration/Temp/Assets/eam610b2a60.TMP/css/bootstrap.css The CSS files where linked from a "Temp" folder again like it should be. Then I changed from the "test" site to "Computer" and tried creating a new Starter Template all over again, but without a site selected and it worked. It worked and the css was in the temp folder here: Application Support/Adobe/Dreamweaver CC 2017/en_US/Configuration/Temp/Assets/eam610b2a60.TMP/css/bootstrap.css. When I tried to create a new "Starter Template" and picked one of the bootstrap templates.
I did what you suggested and clicked on "manage site". It was placing the bootstrap.css file in the wrong place because I had my previous project site selected. Your information helped me figure it out what the issue was.
At least until I save the project somewhere onto my computer. NOTE: you'll notice that the CSS file was created within a temp folder. (To be clear this is not bootstrap template.) Here's an example of a starter template "Basic Layouts". This is only happening with the bootstrap starter templates. Since this is a new project it should be creating a temp folder and it shouldn't be referencing/linking to the CSS file of an old project.
I was playing around with the starter templates from bootstrap as you can see in the screenshots below:Ģ. Here's a break down of what I'm doing and seeing. NOTE: I'm still having issues with the CSS files of new Starter templates for bootstrap. Installed dreamweaver on a fresh OS and. Uninstalled Dreamweaver and re-installed. Using the latest update for Dreamweaver. Here are some basic points to be aware of:
